Annual Mural Project
hosted by Tlaquepaque in Sedona, AZ
Each year, Lovejoy paints the main design, then for a week the public adds their contribution to honor a loved one that has died. This has become a beautiful and healing project for all that participate. The mural is 24x6 ft. It is a temporary mural for Dia De Los Muertos. Each year during the festivities 4 years’ worth of the murals are displayed. Many people come back to find their contribution and add to the current year’s mural.

Marigold Mural 2023
This year was a wonderful turnout. We started on Saturday and due to how many people were contributing, We switched to markers only by 2pm. It was a beautiful mural week, thank you to everyone who contributed! see you next year

This year we utilized the design from last year and added more. The square colors laid a wonderful structure for the public to add their contributions Thank you to all who participated.

2021 was canceled due to covid19

To honor the social distancing & circumstances of covid in 2020, we had people write notes to pin to the “Tree of Life” Thank you to all who could and could not participate, It was a very intense few years for everyone.
