What is your workshop size?
Sedona, AZ:
Private Workshop (Lovejoy’s Studio):
Indoor studio max capacity: 4-6 students
Outdoor studio max capacity: 6-8 students
Public Workshop (local locations):
6-20 students
San Diego, CA:
General on-site workshop host 6-20 students
Minimum students for a class: 6
Workshops with fewer than 4 students will be canceled, and participants will have their seats rescheduled.
Private Events:
At your location, up to 60 attendees
A minimum of 6 attendees is required for private events
Do I need prior experience to join?
No prior experience is required! These workshops are designed for first-timers and beginners.
Can kids attend the workshop?
Children aged 8-13 must attend with a participating adult—both must purchase a seat and paint together.
Children under 13 cannot attend alone or be supervised from the sidelines. My studio and approach are not designed for that.
Children aged 13 and older are welcome to attend without an adult but taking the workshop together is encouraged as it creates a lasting memory.

What is the duration of a typical workshop?
Most workshops are approximately 3 hours long.
Do you offer discounts for repeat students?
Yes, repeat students can use their unique student discount code for future workshops. they receive their code via email after the workshop
Can I bring food or drinks?
At Lovejoy’s Studio, you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks.( alcohol is ok)
For on-site public locations, please check your specific venue's policies and/or the registration page for guidelines.
Are workshops accessible to people with disabilities?
Most public locations offer full ADA accessibility. At Lovejoy's Studio, there are a few steps and a gravel driveway, and the restroom is not wheelchair-accessible.

Registration Policies
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations up to 48 hours before the workshop date are eligible for a partial refund or can be switched to another date (limited to two switches).
Email lovejoycreations@gmail.com with your order number and preferred new date to change your plans.
Last-minute cancellations and no-shows risk losing their spot and refund, as these workshops often reach their capacity.
Emergencies (e.g., death, illness, car accident) will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out as soon as possible.
What is the rescheduling policy for private events?
Private event bookings can be rescheduled up to two times with at least 48 hours' notice. The $100 deposit will move with the reschedule. However, after two switches, the original deposit will be forfeited.
Can I switch my workshop date?
Yes, you may reschedule your workshop up to 48 hours before the start time and are allowed a maximum of two switches.
My coupon isn’t working. What should I do?
Double-check the code for typos, and verify its expiration date.
Note that only one code can be used per transaction.

What is your refund policy?
Refund eligibility depends on the time of cancellation before the workshop date:
14+ days prior to class: 80% refund
8-13 days prior to class: 50% refund
3-7 days prior to class: 40% refund
Less than 48 hours before the workshop: No refund.

How do I schedule a private event?
Email lovejoycreations@gmail.com to start the process. Check the calendar for availability; events can often be scheduled before or after an existing session.

Where are the workshops?
Specific locations vary by class. Please refer to your class description for the exact venue in San Diego, CA or Sedona, AZ.
Pet/Animal Classes
How do I submit my pet photo?
Email your pet photo at least 48 hours before your workshop. A headshot with good lighting is preferred. If you have a specific photo preference or want to include a full-body image, please indicate this in your email.
Can I paint more than one animal/pet on my canvas?
It is recommended to paint only one pet per canvas due to time constraints.
If both pets are in the same photo, there is no extra charge.
If two photos need to be combined, there is an additional $10 fee (please bring cash to class).
Can I bring my pet to class?
It is advised to leave pets at home for these workshops, as they can be distractions and the workshop is 3 hours.
At the Sedona Studio, there are resident outdoor cats on site who do not get along with dogs.
*please do not leave your dog in the car in the summer, email lovejoy if you pet will be with you.For onsite locations, please check with the venue about bringing your pet.
Can I bring my child to a pet painting class?
Yes, children aged 10 and older are welcome to participate. A seat must be purchased for them, and they will need to paint their pet. Non-participating children should not attend; please find alternative childcare arrangements.
Can my friend come and watch?
Only paying students may attend these classes to avoid distractions for others.
Can I bring my own brushes/supplies?
Yes, feel free to bring your own materials. If bringing a canvas, ensure it is sized 8x10 or 11x14 (no larger). Please bring quality student-grade acrylic paints—Liquitex Basics is the recommended brand.
Will you work with an organization or animal shelter?
Yes, please email lovejoycreations@gmail.com for collaborations.
Materials
Are supplies included in the class fee?
Yes, all painting supplies are included in your class fee.
What type of paint is used?
All classes use acrylic paint, a water-based, versatile medium.
What paint brand do you recommend for beginners?
For personal use, Liquitex Basics is great for beginners. It’s affordable and has a consistency similar to the paints used in class. These can be purchased at Michael’s, Blick, or online.
